Configuring SituationUpdateForwarder

sitconfsvruser.sh add
                 serverid=server
                 userid=user
                 password=password
                 type=forTECuseorOther

sitconfsvruser.sh update
                 serverid=server
                 userid=user

                 type=forTECuseorOther

sitconfsvruser.sh delete
                 serverid=server
                 type=forTECuseorOther

sitconfsvruser.sh update serverid=<ITM HUB TEMS server hostname> userid=<username> password=….

The SituationUpdateForwarder config files

cd /etc/TME/TEC/OM_TEC

 # more situser.conf

serverid=<ITM HUB TEMS server hostname>
userid=<username>
passwordfile=/etc/TME/TEC/OM_TEC/<ITM HUB TEMS server hostname>.pwd

 # more situpdate.conf

fileSize=50000
fileNumber=10
fileLocation=/usr/local/Tivoli/custom/cache
pollingInterval=3
crcBytecount=50
cmsSoapUrl=cms/soap
bufferFlushRate=10
logLevel=low

Changing timeout value

If you modify the default situation timeout value of you specify a specific value per situation you must refresh the situation update forwarder process.

# vi /etc/TME/TEC/OM_TEC/sit_timeouts.conf

# $BINDIR/TME/TEC/OM_TEC/bin/sitconfig.sh refresh

SituationUpdateForwarder crashes

There is a possibility that there is a problem entry in the cachefile:

/usr/local/Tivoli/custom/cache/situpdate_<number>

This entry can arise if operations “close” a corrupted situation message.

 Solution:

# cd /usr/local/Tivoli/custom/cache/
# cp situpdate_<number>  situpdate_<number>.old

Or find the corrupted message (vi …, dd)

# $BINDIR/TME/TEC/OM_TEC/bin/startSUF.sh

# $BINDIR/TME/TEC/OM_TEC/bin/query_state.sh
